    1 cup cold milk,1 Tbls.cornstarch,2 Tbls.butter,1/4 teas.salt,1/8 teas.pepper.

    In saucepan gradually stir milk into cornstarch till smooth.Add butter,salt,pepper.Stirring, bring to boil,boil till thick-1 min.
