    Hint;You can use instant mashed potatoes to thicken soups and stews to desired consistency.

    List of Ingredients




    1-1 lb. bag dry navy beans,1/2 lb.bacon or ham or ham hocks,2 qrts.water,2 onion chopped,2 cloves garlic chopped fine,3 carrots diced,2 ribs celery chopped,favorite seasonings.

    Recipe



    Wash,sort,soak beans overnight.Add bacon to beans and water,cook slowly 2-3 hrs.or soft.Cook the following separately;onion,garlic,carrot,celery,add to beans.Season to taste,simmer 1/2 hr.
