    Recipe Introduction

This is a simple way to get a bread crumb that will be very crisp after it is deep fried. You can do the same with old left over bread you have. Alot of people and restaurants get more bread than they need, and make bread crumbs and croutons out of the left overs.

    List of Ingredients

    Tools

    Blender or food processor
    Measuring cup
    Measuring spoon, 1 Tsp
    Baking sheet

    Ingredients

1 C Panko Japanese bread crumbs
    2 Tsp Dried Oregano
    2 Tsp Dried Basil

    Recipe

    Serves: 1 C
Time required: Prepare: 2 minutes Cook: 15 minutes
    Oven temperature: 300 degrees
    Difficulty: Easy

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees.

    2. Grind up the Panko bread crumbs to the coarseness you want.

    3. Mix in the herbs.

    4. Spread out on baking sheet and put in the oven to brown or crisp them up.

NOTE: But remember they are going to get darker when you bake or deep fry them.

    5. Let cool, then store them in air tight bag or use now.

    Serve with

Any meat, vegetable, cheese, or anything you want to bread and deep fry or bake.

    Variations

*Use any seasonings you like. Beware that some really kick up the flavor when they are heated. So, you may want to start small and build up to the amount you like.
