    Recipe Introduction

    This is one of the recipes from the ladies have who went on the Tonight show with Jay Leno. A good recipe for the kids on a family reunion. Worms are great protien sources. You will not even taste them.

    List of Ingredients

    Tools

    Bowl
    Stirring spoon
    Measuring cup
    Measuring spoon, 1 Tsp
    Bread pan
    Cooling rack
    Hot pads


    Ingredients

    1/2 C Shortening
    3/4 C Sugar
    2 bananas, mashed
    2 C Flour
    1 Tsp Soda
    1 Tsp Salt
    1/2 C Chopped nuts
    2 Eggs
    1/4 C Dry-roasted army worms

    Recipe

    Serves:
    Time required: Prepare: Cook:
    Oven temperature: 350 degrees
    Difficulty: Easy


    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

    2. Mix together all ingredients.

    3. Put in greased bread pan.

    4. Bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour.

    5. Cool on rack.


    NOTE: To dry the worms, put on a baking sheet and cook at 200 degrees till they are dry and crisp. Then blend them in a food processor.


    Serve with

    Chocolate frosting.

    Butter, jam, anything you like.


    Variations

    *Add raisins.
