    Recipe Introduction

    This is a good recipe to lay out for any occassion. You can add other cajun seasonings like K Pauls. Make it as hot as you want.

    List of Ingredients

    Tools

    Baking pan
    Non stick spray
    Bowl
    Wisk
    Measuring cup
    Measuring spoons, 1 Tsp, 1 Tbl
    Hot pads
    Cooling rack
    Tongs


    Ingredients

    2 Egg Whites, slightly beaten
    2 Tsp Ground Cayenne Pepper
    2 Tsp Mixed dried Herbs
    1 Tbl Garlic Salt
    2 Tsp Paprika
    4 C (1 lb.) Walnut Halves and Pieces


    Recipe

    Serves: 4 Cups
    Time required: Prepare: 10 minutes Cook: 20 minutes
    Oven temperature: 350 degrees
    Difficulty: Easy


    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

    2. Coat a large, shallow, baking pan with non-stick vegetable spray.

    3. Mix egg whites with spices.

    4. Stir in walnuts and coat thoroughly.

    5. Spread in prepared pan.

    6. Bake in 350 oven 15-18 minutes, until dry and crisp.

    7. Cool completely before serving.

    NOTE: Best if made at least one day ahead. Flavors intensify overnight. Store in sealed contained.


    Serve with

    Pretzels, corn chips, dip, and smoothies.

    This goes great in a chex mix or similar mix.


    Variations

    *Use K Pauls cajun seasonings to get a great flavor.
