    Toll House Oatmeal Cookies

    Recipe Introduction

    This is one of the good recipes Barbara is starting to give me.

    List of Ingredients

    Tools

    Mixing bowl
    Stirring spoon
    Measuring cup
    Measuring spoon, 1 Tsp
    Baking sheet
    Spatula
    Cooling rack


    Ingredients

    3 C Flour
    2 Tsp Salt
    2 Tsp Soda
    2 C Oil (Scant)
    1 1/2 C Brown sugar
    1 1/2 C Sugar
    2 Tsp Vanilla
    4 Eggs
    1 1/2 C Nuts
    1 12 oz Package of Chocolate chips
    4 C Regular oats


    Recipe

    Serves: Depends on who is in the house when they are done.
    Makes 13 dozen.
    Time required: Prepare: 15 minutes Cook: 1 hour
    Oven temperature: 375 degrees
    Difficulty: Easy


    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

    2. In measuring cup mix flour, salt and soda.

    3. In bowl mix oil and sugar. Add one egg at a time, beating after each one.

    4. Mix in vanilla, nuts and chips.

    5. Blend in flour mixture.

    6. Mix in oatmeal.

    7. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Rotate baking pan 180 degrees half way through to even out the heat in your oven for more consistent cooking.

    8. Put hot cookies on the cooling rack.


    Serve with

    Ice cream, ice cream between two.

    Dip half in melted chocolate, or melted white chocolate.

    Make a sandwich out of two with strawberry or raspberry jam.

    Someone you like.


    Variations

    Add combination of nuts and raisins.
