Beef Teriyaki for Diabetics

Measuring cup
Measuring spoons, 1 Tsp, 1 Tbl
Knife
Cutting board
Ziplock bag
5 Skewers
Baking sheet
Blender
Ingredients
1 lb Boneless sirloin steak
1/4 C Soy sauce
1/4 C Chicken broth
1 Tbl Vegetable oil
2 Tsp Pureed ginger root in the chicken stock or 1/2 Tsp ground ginger
1 Tsp Sugar (or sugar substitute)
1 Clove Garlic, chopped

Serves: 5
Time required: Prepare: 1 hour 15 minutes Cook: 15 minutes
Oven temperature: Broiler
Difficulty: Easy
Directions
1. Trim fat from beef steak; cut beef into 3/4-inch cubes. Put in ziplock.
2. Mix remaining ingredients with beef in ziplock. Squeeze air out of bag and seal.
3. Refrigerate at least 1 hour.
4. Preheat broiler.
5. Stick beef on skewers.
6. Brush beef with marinade.
7. Broil kabobs about 4 inches from heat for 5 to 6 minutes. Turn.
8. Brush with marinade and broil till done, 5 to 6 minutes.
Serve with
Pasta, baked potato, cous cous. Include a salad, fruit and maybe a soup.
Variations
*Add a little garlic, salt, and pepper.
*Use yama soy sauce, instead of the regular soy sauce.
