    This is the dipping sauce made to go with the Lumpia Shanghai recipe. But use it for poppers or anything you like.

    Tools

    Pot
    Measuring cup
    Measuring spoons, 1/4 Tsp, 1 Tbl
    Spoon
    Whisk
    Cup


    Ingredients

    1/4 C Vinegar
    1/4 C Sugar
    1/4 Tsp Salt
    1/2 C Water
    2 Tbl Ketchup
    2-3 drops Hot pepper sauce (or more if you like)
    2 Tsp Cornstarch dissolved in 1 Tb. water

    Serves: 1 C
    Time required: Prepare: 2 minutes Cook: 7 minutes
    Difficult: Easy


    Directions

    1. In a small pan combine vinegar, sugar, salt, water and ketchup. Boil for two minutes.

    2. Mix corn starch in cup with water.

    3. Add hot pepper sauce and corn starch to pot off the heat.

    4. Put back on heat and stir well to blend with whisk. Cook for 3 more minutes at medium heat.



    Serve with

    Lumpia and other appetizers that go good with dip.
