    Grilled Tropical Island Chops and Salsa

    Recipe Introduction

    This is a simple grilled meat, with a flavorful salsa.

    List of Ingredients

    Tools

    2 Bowls
    Spoon
    Knife
    Cutting board
    Measuring spoon, 1 Tsp, 1 Tbl
    Can opener
    Citrus juicer
    BBQ
    Tongs


    Ingredients

    Meat

    2 Tbl Brown sugar
    1 Tbl Lime zest
    1 Tbl Dried thyme
    1 Clove garlic, minced
    1 Tsp Dry mustard
    6 Pork chops

    Salsa

    20 oz can Pineapple tidbis, drained
    2 medium Cucumbers, peeled, seeded and diced
    2 Tbl Fresh mint
    1/2 Jalapeno pepper, seeded and finely chopped (more or less according to your taste)
    1 Tbl Brown sugar
    1 Tbl Grated ginger
    1 Tbl Fresh lime juice

    Recipe

    Serves: 6
    Time required: Prepare: 20 minutes Cook: 20 minutes
    Difficulty: Average


    Directions

    Meat

    1. Get bbq started to warm up.

    2. Mix all ingredients except pork.

    3. Rub spice rub all over pork. Cover and marinade for up to 4 hours in the refrigerator.

    4. Grill pork covered over medium high heat for about 8 minutes, then 8 minutes on the other side. Make sure it is done.

    5. Serve with salsa on top or the side.


    Salsa

    1. Cut up everything that needs it.

    2. Mix everything together.

    3. Cover and refrigerate for 4 to 24 hours.

    Makes 3 cups.


    Serve with

    Rice dish, smoothie, and fruit for dessert.

    Cous cous, green salad, smoothie, and grilled pineapple, apple, and banana in carmel sauce over vanilla ice cream.


    Variations

    *Use beef, chicken or veal.
