    Recipe

Serves: Large batch of like onion rings.
    Time required: Prepare: 5 minutes
    Difficulty: Easy

    Directions

    1. Put ice in water to chill. Measure out water without ice cubes.

    2. Mix all ingredients together except water.

    3. Add water till you get the thickness of the batter you like.

    4. Heat oil to deep fry in to 375 degrees.

    5. Use it all at once, throwing away the left overs.

    Serve with

Vegetables like zuchini, onion rings. Cheese, ice cream, meats, and anything you like.

    Variations

*The traditional tempura is more of a one to one ratio on the flour and corn starch.

*They also add seasonings like paprika, chicken bouillon, pepper, chili pepper, red chili pepper, alot of garlic, seasoning spices, and anything you like. Different cultures season the same batter differently.

*If you want, put the battered pieces in bread crumbs for a crunchier crust. Use seasoned bread crumbs, or try Japanese Panko bread crumbs. These are very crunchy after it is deep fried.
