    Fruit Cobbler

    Recipe Introduction

    I got this one when I asked for recipes to teach cooking to some kids in the family.

    List of Ingredients

    Tools

    13" x 9" baking pan
    Knife
    Mixing bowl
    Spoon
    Measuring cup
    Teaspoon
    Can opener
    Hot pad



    Ingredients

    1 C Flour
    1 C Sugar
    1 C Milk
    3 Tsp Baking powder
    1 Cube of butter
    1 Quart of fruit (Fresh, frozen or canned)

    Recipe

    Serves: Alot for a few people, little for alot of people.
    Time required: Prepare: 10 minutes Cook: 35 - 40 minutes
    Oven temperature: 350 degrees
    Difficulty: Easy


    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    2. Cut butter up, put in bottom of pan.
    3. Mix up flour, sugar, milk and baking powder in bowl.
    4. Pour batter over butter.
    5. Pour fruit over batter. Do not mix fruit in.
    6. Bake for 35 - 40 minutes. Check at 25 minutes with a toothpick to see if dry.


    Serve with

    Ice cream and a dollop of whip cream, sprinkled with slivered almonds.

    Puree up some fresh berries. Put it on the plate, then put cobbler on top of it. Or use a jam under cobbler.

    Any type of syrups you like over the ice cream and cobbler.


    Variations

    *Use different fruits.

    *Add flavorings to the cake batter.

    *Add crushed cookies, candy bars, or anything else you like in the batter.
