8 oz. sharp Cheddar cheese, finely grated
2 sticks butter, softened
2 cups all purpose flour, sifted
1/4 teaspoon Cayenne pepper (optional)
2 cups Rice Krispies
Recipe
Combine cheese and butter. Add sifted flour and pepper. Blend. Stir in Rice Krispies. Roll into marble-size balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Press each ball gently with fork to flatten. Bake in a 350° oven for 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Be careful not to over-brown. Cool completely before storing in tightly sealed container where they will keep for several months.
