    DUTCH APPLE PIE

    List of Ingredients

    9" pie shell
    3 lbs. peeled and sliced apples
    1 cup heavy cream
    ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
    ½ teaspoon cinnamon
    1/3 cup flour
    ¾ cup sugar
    pinch of salt


    Recipe

    preheat oven to 450° (the temperature will be LOWERED later)

    Put apples into pie shell.

    Combine cream, nutmet and cinnamon and beat until smooth. Gradually blend in the flour, sugar and salt. Pour over the apples.

    Bake at 450° for 20 minutes, until the crust is brown, then cover it with foil, and reduce the heat to 350° about bake for 45 minutes more.
