2 pouches of Certo
4½ cups crushed blueberries (do NOT purée)
2 Tablespoons lemon juice (fresh)
7 cups sugar
1 teaspoon butter (optional)
Recipe
Crush blueberries 1 cup at at time, until you have exactly 4½ cups of crushed fruit (so you will start with MORE than 4½ cups of fruit!). Add lemon juice to crushed blueberries.
Add 7 cups of sugar. Cook until mixture comes to a rolling boil, stirring constantly. Add the Certo. If necessary (or desired) add a teaspoon of butter to cut down on the fuzz on the top of the mixture. Boil for 1 minute, after adding the Certo (again, stirring constantly). Remove from heat, and pour into sterilized jars. Seal and process for 10 minutes in a hot water bath.
