250g (9 oz) self-rising flour
75g (3 oz) caster sugar
175g (6 oz) butterRecipe
Preheat oven to 160° C (325° F or gas mark 3). Grease baking tin.
Mix flour and sugar, rub in butter. Knead to form a smooth dough.
Divide in half. Flatten each half into a 2x18 cm (7 inch) round, 1 cm (¼ inch) thick.
Mark each round in 8 portions. Decorate the edges, and prick with a fork. Place on baking tray. Bake for 30 minutes, or until it turns a pale golden colour.
