    EARLY PEAS & ASPARAGUS CASSEROLE

    4 slices white bread, toasted & crumbled
    1/2 cup melted margarine
    1-15 oz. can LeSueur early peas, drained
    1 lb. fresh steamed asparagus
    1 can water chestnuts, drained
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1/2 cup grated cheese
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    Cooking Spray

    Recipe

    Preheat oven to 350°. Mix breadcrumbs & melted margarine together. Spray a 2 qt. casserole dish with cooking spray. Place a layer of peas in bottom, layer asparagus, water chestnuts. Combine soups & pepper. Pour over top layer. Sprinkle grated cheese over the soup. Top with breadcrumb mixture. Bake approximately 30 minutes.
