    List of Ingredients




    2 sticks butter, softened
    1 cup packed brown sugar
    1 cup granulated sugar
    2 large eggs
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    3 cups all-purpose flour
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    10 oz jar of maraschino cherries, drained, patted dry and chopped
    2 cups chocolate chip

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 375° F.

    While the oven is heating, drain the cherries, pat dry with a paper towel, and cut each cherry in about 8 pieces. Set aside.

    In a medium bowl, with electric mixer, cream butter and sugars together until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla and beat until just combined. Set aside.

    Sift together flour and soda. Add to the butter mixture and. mix until just combined. Batter should be stiff.

    Combine cherries, and chocolate chips. Mix well. Then add to batter, stirring only to blend. Drop by heaping Tablespoons (I use my smallest cookie scoop) onto a greased cookie sheet, 2 inches apart. Flatten slightly Bake for approximately 11 to 13 minutes. Cool on wire rack.
