    Recipe Introduction

this recipe is equally good with fig filling or raspberry filling. Feel free to experiment with other kinds of fruits, as well, such as apple, blackberry, blueberry...

    List of Ingredients

    ¾ cup (1½ sticks) butter
1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
    1¾ cups flour
    ½ teaspoon baking soda
    ½ teaspoon salt
1½ cups rolled oats (any kind will do)

2 cups fig or raspberry preserves

    Recipe

    1. Warm butter in the microwave until soft (or melted, if you choose).

    2. Combine butter with brown sugar.

    3. Add flour, baking soda and salt together, and add to butter and brown sugar.

    4. Mix in the rolled oats.

Preheat oven to 400°F. Grease or spray a 9x13 baking pan. Press HALF of the dough mixture into the pan. (It will be very thin). Spread the preserves over it, then crumble the other half of the dough mixture on top. Press down.

Bake at 400° for 20-25 minutes. Until top has browned, and is set. Cool before cutting.
