4 oz unsweetened chocolate
2/3 cup shortening
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/4 cup all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
Recipe
Preheat oven to 350°.
Grease 13x9x2 baking pan.
Melt chocolate and shortening in large saucepan over low heat. When melted, remove from heat and add sugar, eggs and vanilla. Stir in the remaining ingredients. Pour into baking pan.
Bake 30 minutes or until brownies start to separate from the pan sides. Do not over bake! Cut and serve.
