    OLD FASHIONED OATMEAL COOKIES

    Source of Recipe

    unknown

    List of Ingredients

    1½ cups sifted flour
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    ¼ teaspoon salt
    1 cup sugar
    ¾ cup butter or margarine
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    2 eggs
    ¼ cup milk
1 cup quick cooking rolled oats
    1 cup raisins
    ½ cup chopped walnuts

    Recipe

Preheat oven to 350° F. Sift together flour, baking soda,
cinnamon and salt onto waxed paper. Beat together sugar, butter and vanilla at low mixer speed for 1 minute. Scrape down side.

Increase speed to high; beat 3 minutes. Reduce speed to
moderate. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Beat in milk.

Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in oats, raisins, and walnuts. Drop dough by slightly rounded teaspoons, 2 inches apart, onto greased baking sheets.

Bake in preheated 350° oven for 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned around edges; cookies will not be firm. Cool on baking sheet on wire rack for 1 minute. Transfer to wire rack to cool completely. Store in airtight containers.
