    12 Tablespoons ( 1 1/2 sticks) of Butter or Margarine
    2/3 Cup Shortening
    (Or you can use all butter or all margarine)
    1 1/2 Cup of White Sugar
    2 Eggs
    2 Tablespoons of Milk
    2 teaspoons of Vanilla
    4 Cups of White Flour
    1/2 teaspoon Salt
    3 teaspoons Baking Powder

    Recipe



    Beat Butter and Shortening for 30 seconds. Add Sugar and Beat until Fluffy. Add Eggs, Milk, Vanilla, and Beat Well. Add Dry Ingredients and Beat until Well Blended.
    Cover and Chill at least Three Hours or Overnight.
    Work a little dough at a time on well floured surface. Roll Thick and Cut with Cookie Cutters. Place on Ungreased Cookie Sheet. Bake at 375° for 8 minutes. Remove from cookie sheet, Cool, Frost, Decorate. Remember to dip cookie cutters in flour to keep them from sticking to the dough.
