    1 cup soft butter
    ½ cup sifted confectioner's sugar
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    2¼ cups sifted flour
    ¼ teaspoon salt
    3/4 cups finely chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)

    Recipe



    Mix together butter, confectioner's sugar and vanilla.

    Sift the flour and salt together, and stir into the butter/sugar mixture.

    Mix in the chopped nuts.

    Chill dough.

    Roll into 1 inch balls. Place on ungreased baking sheet (crowd them!) Bake until set, but not brown, 10-12 minutes in a 400° oven. While still warm, roll in powdered sugar. Cool. Then roll again in powdered sugar.
