List of Ingredients
12-15 (½ inch) slices of angel food cake
¾ cup prepared sugar free gelatin, cherry flavor (not gelled)
1/2 cup sugar free jam or preserves, any flavor
2 cups fresh or frozen berries, any kind
2 cups prepared sugar-free pudding, vanilla flavor, cooked variety
1 cup peach halves
2 cups low fat whipped topping
1/2 cup sliced almonds, toasted
Recipe
Put half the slices of the angel food cake in the bottom of a large glass bowl, trimming the corners so they fit neatly. Sprinkle the cake with half the liquid gelatin.
Spread on half the preserves to cover most of the cake layer. Layer with half the berries, pudding and peaches.
Finish the trifle by doing another complete layer of the remaining ingredients. Top trifle with low-fat whipped topping and sprinkle with toasted almonds.
Chill dessert for at least 2 hours to set. It is better if prepared the day before service.
