CREAMED SALMON AND PEAS

List of Ingredients
2 cups milk
2 Tablespoons butter
2 Tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 (14.75 ounce) can salmon, picked out, drained and flaked
1 (15 ounce) can baby peas, drained
salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Recipe
Melt the butter in a double boiler, over boiling water. Stir in the flour, to make a paste. Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly until milk has thickened. Add the flaked salmon and the drained peas to the mixture. Let heat through. Serve over crushed saltine crackers. (A nice accompaniment is a nice sweet pickle, like a gherkin or bread & butter pickles!)
