2 red apples
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
3 Tablespoons red cinnamon candies
Recipe
Do not peel the apples. Remove the cores and slice each apple horizontally into 3/4 inch slices.
Bring sugar and water to a boil, and stir until the sugar dissolves.
Add the cinnamon candies and boil for four minutes.
Drop apple slices into the syrup. Cover and simmer gently until the fruit is tender. Use as an edible garnish on meat platters, or serve as a side dish.
