    EASY BAKED STUFFED PORK CHOPS

    Source of Recipe

    ORIGINAL RECIPE

    Recipe Introduction

Putting the stuffing on top, instead of inside, gives these the same great taste, with less fuss. The ketchup and brown sugar give it a slight BBQ flavor.

    List of Ingredients

    2 Tablespoons Butter
    4 pork chops
    4 Tablespoons ketchup, divided
    4 teaspoons brown sugar, divided

    Stuffing:

6 slices of bread, torn into crumbs
    1 Tablespoon poultry season
    4 Tablespoons butter
1 half of a medium onion, finely diced
    1 stalk celery, finely diced
enough milk to hold it together

    Recipe

    Pre-heat oven to 350°.

In a large skillet, on the stove top, heat the 2 Tablespoons of butter until melted. Add the pork chops, and brown on each side.

Put the pork chops in a 9x9 casserole dish. Place 1 Tablespoon of ketchup and 1 teaspoon brown sugar on top of each chop. Set aside.

In the same skillet (without cleaning it out), melt the remaining 4 Tablespoons of butter. And the poultry seasoning to it. Add the celery and onions, and cook until the onions begin to become translucent. Add the bread crumbs, and stir to coat in the butter and seasonings. Add just enough milk, so that the stuffing sticks together to form a ball. Divide the stuffing in 4 equal amounts. Place one on top of each pork chop.

Cover the casserole dish with aluminum foil. Bake at 350° for 1 hour.

If making stuffing is not your thing, then you can replace the homemade stuffing with a prepared package of stuffing. Serves 4.
