1 1/2 c water
4 green onions, sliced
1 tsp instant chicken bouillon granules
1/2 tsp shredded lemon peel
1 clove garlic, minced
1/8 tsp pepper
1/2 c long grain rice
1/2 c coarsely chopped water chestnuts
1 c frozen green beans or asparagusRecipe
Combine water, green onion, chicken bouillon granules, lemon peel, garlic, and pepper in a med. saucepan. Bring to a boiling. Stir in rice and water chestnuts and reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 20-25 mins. or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed, stirring in green beans or asparagus the last 10 mins. of cooking.
