Walnut Cake
List of Ingredients
8 eggs, seperated
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 cup flour
2 t baking powder
1/2 cup water
2 t vanilla
1 cup ground nuts
Additional ground nuts for decoration.
Recipe
Beat egg whites stiff. Cream yolks to lemon color add sugar tablespoon by tablespoon. Add water and flour, half by half, add nuts. Fold in egg whites.
Bake 35 minutes in a 350 degree oven.
Frost with a coffee and chocolate flavored frosting.
Sprinkle additional ground nuts on top of frosting.
Makes 2-9 inch, 3-8 inch or 1-9 x 13.
