    7-Minute One Dish Scratch Brownies

    Source of Recipe

Microwave cookbook - unknown/modified from original

    Recipe Introduction

This fudgy-style brownie is a favorite of kids and adults alike. Mix and microwave a batch in about 7 minutes.

    List of Ingredients

    1/2 cup peanut butter
    2 Tablespoons butter
    2 Tablespoons milk
    6 Tablespoons powder cocoa (unsweet)
    1 cup sugar
    1 egg
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    3/4 cup all purpose flour
    1/2 teaspoon baking powder
    1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chopped nuts - optional

    Recipe

Place peanut butter, butter and milk in a glass 8 - 9 inch round deep dish pie plate. Microwave at high about 1 to 1 & 1/2 minutes, until butter and peanut butter melts. Time will vary depending on the wattage of your microwave oven.

While butters are melting, in a small mixing bowl mix together the sugar and cocoa. Mixing these together well will aid in evenly chocolate brownies.

Take butters out of microwave and mix thoroughly. Stir in the sugar/cocoa mixture thoroughly, then stir in the egg and vanilla.

In the small mixing bowl mix together the flour, baking powder and salt. Mix these dry ingredients into the brownie batter, adding the nuts also if desired.

During microwaving, brownies puff up and puddles appear on top. Microwave at high 5 1/2 to 6 minutes, rotating 1/2 turn after 2, 4 and 5 minutes if microwave does not have a rotating tray. Cook until top is no longer wet.

Let cool until just warm. Cut into squares and serve while warm.

NOTE: If you do not have a glass deep dish round pie pan, a glass 8 inch square dish can also be used. However, since corners receive more energy, shield each top corner of the dish with a foil triangle, making sure to leave gaps along each side of the dish between foil triangles. The foil will allow the brownies to cook evenly, and if small enough will not cause sparking in the microwave.
