    Traditional Pumpkin Pie

    From label of a can of Kroger Sweetened Condensed Milk

    Recipe Introduction

    Quick and easy to mix up.

    List of Ingredients

    1 (15 oz.) can pumpkin
    1 (14 oz.) can sweetened consensed milk*
    2 eggs, slightly beaten
    1 tsp ground cinnamon
    1/2 tsp ground ginger
    1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
    1/2 tsp salt
    1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust, frozen deep dish, refrigerated or homemade pie crust
    Whipped topping and nuts optional

    *May also use a 12 fl. oz. can Evaporated Milk, and 3/4 cup granulated sugar in place of the sweetened condensed milk.

    Recipe

    Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

    In a large bowl, combine filling ingredients, mixing well. Pour into pie crust. Bake 15 minutes at 425 degrees. Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees and continue baking 35 to 40 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.

    Cool pie before cutting. Garnish with whipped topping and nuts, if desired. Refrigerate any leftovers.

    Makes one 9-inch pie.
