1 (12-ounce) bottle diet root beer(reserve
3 Tbls for glaze)
2 egg whites
Rootbeer Glaze
1/2 cup powdered sugar
3 Tbls rootbeer
Stir together powdered sugar and Root Beer
until smooth.
Recipe
Beat cake mix and next 2 ingredients at low speed with an electric mixer until dry ingredients are moistened. Beat at medium speed 2 minutes. Pour into a greased and floured 9X13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until a wooden pick or skewer inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan on a wire rack 15 minutes. Pierce top of cake at 2-inch intervals with a long wooden pick. Pour glaze evenly over cake. Cool completely before serving.
Yield: 1 cake. Prep: 20 min., bake: 40 min.
May serve with 1/2 cup Low fat Vanilla ice cream.
