List of Ingredients
- 1 c soft shortening or butter
- 2 1/2 c sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 3/4 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoons cream of tarter
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
Instructions
- Mix thoroughly the shortening, sugar and eggs
- Sift together and stir in the flour,cream of tarter, baking soda and salt.
- Roll into balls the size of small walnuts.
- Roll in the sugar-cinnamon minture.
- Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.
- Bake 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes until lightly browned but still soft.
- These cookes puff up at first and then flatten out
- Makes 3-5 dozen
