    List of Ingredients


    • 1 c soft shortening or butter
    • 2 1/2 c sugar
    • 2 eggs
    • 2 3/4 cups flour
    • 1 teaspoon baking soda
    • 2 teaspoons cream of tarter
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 2 tablespoons sugar
    • 2 teaspoons cinnamon


    Instructions


    1. Mix thoroughly the shortening, sugar and eggs
    2. Sift together and stir in the flour,cream of tarter, baking soda and salt.
    3. Roll into balls the size of small walnuts.
    4. Roll in the sugar-cinnamon minture.
    5. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.
    6. Bake 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes until lightly browned but still soft.
    7. These cookes puff up at first and then flatten out
    8. Makes 3-5 dozen
