Gooey Butter Cake

- 1 Box Pound Cake Mix
- 1 stick butter
- 1 t vanilla
- 1 box powdered sugar (1 lb = 3 1/2 c)
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 to 1 c chopped nuts
Instructions
- Grease and flour 9 x 13 pan. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Mix, by hand, cake mix, softened butter and 2 eggs.
- When smooth, line pan with mixture and pat dough up sides of pan.
- With a mixer, blend softened cream cheese, 2 eggs, powered sugar (reserve 3 T) and vanilla. Pour on top of cake mixture.
- Bake for 15 minutes. Sprinkle with nuts and reserved powdered sugar and bake 30 minutes longer. Cool and serve.
