    TinCan Chicken

    Source of Recipe

friend in Scottsbluff NE made it when we went camping,

    Recipe Introduction

When I had chicken cooked this way it was some of the best chicken I have ever eaten.

    List of Ingredients

    • 3lb. coffee can or other large can
    • 1 whole chicken - seansoned whoever you like.
    • 15 charcoal briquettes

    Instructions

    1. Punch holes around the can 1 inch from the bottom and about an inch apart.
    2. Next place the charcoal in the can and light. Allow the coals to ash over.
    3. Completely wrap the chicken in foil - making sure it is completely covered.
    4. Set on top of coals with the legs pointing upward. It doesn't matter if they stick out a little.
    5. Cook for 3 hours. No turning required.

    Final Comments

You can set the chicken to cook in a safe place and go fish if you would like. Also try different ways to season the chicken until you find your personal favorite. The chicken I ate had a BBQ rub on it and it was excellant!
