Camping Pineapple Upsidedown Cakes

A friend gave me this recipe after making it for her grandkids.

This is a recipe the kids can help prepare. It makes a good breakfast treat or dessert!
List of Ingredients
- 6 - 8 glazed doughnuts
- 12 to 16 pats of butter
- 6 to 8 marchino cherries
- 1 16oz can pineapple rings
- 6 to 8 tsp brown sugar
Instructions
- Prepare 1 large square heavy duty aluminum tin foil per each serving.
- Place a pat of butter in center of aluminum foil.
- Place 1 pineapple ring centered over pat of butter and place doughnut over that.
- Add 1 tsp. brown sugar into doughnut hole.
- Add another pat of butter on top of brown sugar. Top with cherry.
- Bring sides of foil up over top of dessert and twist top.
- Place on campfire grill near low heat and cook 6 to 10
minutes.
Final Comments
This can also be perpared in a 300 degree oven by placing foil packets on a cookiesheet and cooking 6 to 10 minutes.
