    Camping Pineapple Upsidedown Cakes

    A friend gave me this recipe after making it for her grandkids.


    Recipe Introduction


    This is a recipe the kids can help prepare. It makes a good breakfast treat or dessert!


    List of Ingredients


    • 6 - 8 glazed doughnuts
    • 12 to 16 pats of butter
    • 6 to 8 marchino cherries
    • 1 16oz can pineapple rings
    • 6 to 8 tsp brown sugar


    Instructions


    1. Prepare 1 large square heavy duty aluminum tin foil per each serving.
    2. Place a pat of butter in center of aluminum foil.
    3. Place 1 pineapple ring centered over pat of butter and place doughnut over that.
    4. Add 1 tsp. brown sugar into doughnut hole.
    5. Add another pat of butter on top of brown sugar. Top with cherry.
    6. Bring sides of foil up over top of dessert and twist top.
    7. Place on campfire grill near low heat and cook 6 to 10
      minutes.


    Final Comments


    This can also be perpared in a 300 degree oven by placing foil packets on a cookiesheet and cooking 6 to 10 minutes.
