Jello Mousses - Core
Source of Recipe

Cherry Mousse is posted at the end of this. I substituted lime jello and mango. I also used cottage cheese instead of yogurt, since I had some that needed to get used up.
The cottage cheese seemed to make it more Mousse-like. It didn't separate as much as the yogurt versions I've made. I don't like the texture of cottage cheese much, so I blended it until it was very smooth.
Someone else made it with rasberry jello and frozen strawberries, and I've also made it with orange jello and mandarin oranges (reminded me of an Orange Julius).
I'm also going to try it with lemon jello and frozen blueberries.
The combinations are endless. Any other ideas?
Here's the original with my safety note added. After all there are people on this board who've stuck a wooden spoon in an operating blender:)
***Safety Note: Be careful with the boiling water and blender. Make sure the lid is on tightly before turning on your blender. Use caution with a glass blender to prevent shattering.****
