    Scotch eggs are a picnic or snack food, usually served cold in Scotland

    List of Ingredients




    1 pound core sausage
    1 tablespoon grated onion
    Season to taste with herbs, and salt and pepper
    4 hard-cooked eggs -- shelled
    1/2 cup cornmeal

    Recipe



    Combine sausage meat, onion, and seasoning; mix well. Divide meat mixture into 4 portions; shape into patties. Place one egg atop each patty, shaping the mixture around egg till completely covered. Roll each meat-covered egg in cornmeal. Bake in a preheated 350 degree F. oven for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
