    Pot Roast W/Red Wine Sauce - Core

    Be careful w/the wine - count points based on servings.

    List of Ingredients




    Eye round roast - - 1 1/2 lbs.
    Tomato Sauce - 1 large can (15 oz.)
    Garlic - 2 cloves, smashed and rough chopped
    Frozen pearl onions - 1 1/2 cups
    Frozen carrot disks - 1 1/2 cups
    Red wine (Madeira was suggested, but I've used Cabernet, Merlot, Marsala, what I had on hand) - 6 ozs. (3/4 cup)
    salt and pepper

    Recipe



    Heat a large pan - spray with Pam. Salt and pepper roast - add to pan. Cook 5 minute on each side to brown your roast.

    Mix tomato sauce with garlic and wine - set aside.

    In crock pot, layer ingredients as follows:

    Onions
    Carrots
    Roast
    Tomato/wine/garlic sauce

    Cover - cook on low at least 6 hours.
