List of Ingredients
Broth:
2 cans ff chicken broth,
1/2 cup each chopped onion, celery, carrots, frozen peas
1 bay leaf
1/4 teasp thyme
1/4 teasp marjoram
pepper
mix all together and cook until veggies are tender.
Dumplings:
3/4 ff milk or water (I use milk)
1/4 cup cream of wheat (I use the cooks in 10 minute one) little more substance
dash of salt
1 large egg
1 tablespoon olive or canola oil Recipe
Mix together cream of wheat and milk or water and salt. I follow microwave directions to cook.
When cooked remove from oven and stir in oil till well blended.
Add egg and mix well, drop by spoonfuls into boiling soup, COVER, lower heat, and cook for 10 minutes.
DO NOT REMOVE COVER WHILE COOKING, DUMPLINGS WILL DEFLATE.
Makes 10 dumplings
