    1 TBS canola oil
    1 lb lean ground beef
    1.5 tsp chili powder
    1/2 tsp allspice
    1/4 tsp freshly ground pepper
    2 cans (14.5 oz each) beef broth
    1 can (15 oz) red kidney beans, drained
    1/4 c shredded FF or soy cheddar cheese

    Heat oil in a saucepan over medium-high heat; cook ground beef, stirring occasionally, until brown, about 5 minutes. Add chili powder, allspice and 1/4 tsp black pepper. Cook, stirring, for 1 minute.

    Add broth and half of the kidney beans to the saucepan; heat to a boil over medium-high heat.

    Puree the remaining beans in a blender or food processor; stir into the soup. Heat to a boil; reduce heat to simmer. Simmer 20 minutes. Garnish with cheese.
