    2-4 tsp olive oil
    1 large onion, chopped
    2 cans small pink beans (I like adzuki) drained and rinsed
    2 tbsp hoisin sauce (1 point)
    2 tsp mustard
    2 tbsp ketchup
    1 tbsp soy sauce
    1 tsp toasted sesame oil (1 point)
    1 tsp cumin
    grated peel of 1 orange
    3/4 cup crushed pineapple, drained

    Recipe



    Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add onion and cook until soft. In a small bowl, mix hoisin sauce, mustard, ketchup, soy sauce, sesame oil, cumin, orange peel and pineapple. Add beans to the pan with the onion, then add sauce. Cook until everything is hot.

    The hoisin sauce and sesame oil are not Core and add 2 points to the recipe. This makes about 4 servings, so count accordingly. Also adjust the amount of oil based on the servings and count toward daily oil requirement.

    These beans go well over baked potatoes or polenta.
