Texas Sheet Cake
2 cups sugar
2 cups flour
2 eggs
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
Mix in bowl and set aside.
Bring to boil 2 sticks margarine or butter, 4 tablespoons (1/4 cup) cocoa and 1 cup of water. Let cool several minutes then add to first mixture stirring well. Pour into prepared sheet cake pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. (Preheat oven)
Frosting for Texas Cake
1 16 ounce box powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chopped pecans
Boil 1 stick margarine or butter, 4 tablespoons cocoa, 6 tablespoons milk. Add to powdered sugar, vanilla and nuts mixing well. Frost cooled cake.
