This easy recipe makes great caramels. Very similiar to the other recipe I posted, simpler to make but it can't be halved as easily as the other.
List of Ingredients
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 3/4 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 (15 ounce) can Eagle Brand condensed milk
Instructions
- Sprinkle on bottom of 8 inch square pan the 1/2 cup chopped nuts.
- Mix in saucepan sugar, corn syrup, butter and Eagle Brand milk. Bring to a boil over low heat. Sir as mixture thickens. Cook to 242 degrees. Then pour over nuts in pan. When cold, cut in squares.
