Harvard Beets
Recipe Introduction
This is an old recipe from my grandmother.
List of Ingredients
- 2 cups diced beets (can use more) drained
- flour to thicken (1 - 2 tablespoons)
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water (if using canned beets I use liquid from can)
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
- Mix sugar and flour until all lumps from flour are gone.
- Add to vinegar and water in a medium saucepan.
- Cook until thickened.
- Add drained, diced beets and butter. Heat thouroughly.
