    Harvard Beets

    Recipe Introduction


    This is an old recipe from my grandmother.


    List of Ingredients


    • 2 cups diced beets (can use more) drained
    • flour to thicken (1 - 2 tablespoons)
    • 1/4 cup vinegar
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 1/2 cup water (if using canned beets I use liquid from can)
    • 2 tablespoons butter


    Instructions


    1. Mix sugar and flour until all lumps from flour are gone.

    2. Add to vinegar and water in a medium saucepan.

    3. Cook until thickened.

    4. Add drained, diced beets and butter. Heat thouroughly.
