Tomato and Rice Soup

List of Ingredients
1 oignon, chopped
4 Cups water
1/2-3/4 white rice (not Minute Rice)
3 tsp. chicken base or 1 cup chicken bouillon
Pepper to taste
1 Tbsp. Salted herbs (herbes salees) if you have it on hand
or add 1 tbsp parsley and celery leaves
1 can tomato juice or vegetable juice(to taste)Recipe
Brown oignons in butter.
Add remaining ingredients, except tomato juice, and cook on low-med heat until rice opens. Add water if necessary.
When rice is cooked, add tomato juice. Let simmer about 1/2 an hour.
