Recipe Introduction
This is the best cheesecake I have ever had! It gets compliments wherever I take it!
List of Ingredients
- CRUST:
- 2 1/2 cups of graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine softened
- 1/4 cup of sugar
- FILLING:
- 5 8oz. packages of cream cheese
- 1 /34 cups sugar
- 3 TBL. flour
- 1/4 cup of whipping cream
- 1/4 tsp. vanilla
- 5 eggs
- 2 egg yolks
- 1/2 cup of sour cream
Instructions
- CRUST: In a small bowl, combine the crumbs, butter, and sugar. Press onto the bottom and up the sides of a 9" springform pan that has been coated with non-stick cooking spray. Refrigerate while preparing the filling.
- FILLING:In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sugar, flour, whipping cream, and vanilla on low speed just until combined.
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Pour mixture into prepared crust.
- Bake at 500 degrees for 10 minutes then reduce heat to 250 and bake for 1 hour longer.
- Cool for 10 minutes on a wire rack. Then spread the sour cream on top.
- Cool for at least 3 hours. Refrigerate overnight.
Final Comments
Do not underbake this cheesecake. An additional 15-30 minutes or longer may be required.
