Cookie Brittle

List of Ingredients
- 1 cup of softened butter or margarine
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate morsels
- 1 cup chopped nuts*
Instructions
- Beat butter, sugar, vanilla, and salt in a large bowl. Gradually beat in flour. Stir in 1 1/2 cups of morsels and nuts. Press into an ungreased 15x10" jelly roll pan.
- Bake at 375 for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and set. Cool in pan until slightly warm.
- Microwave remaning chocolate in a heavy duty plastic bag on HIGH (100%) power for 1 minute. Cut a small hole in the corner of the bag; squeeze to drizzle over cookie brittle. Allow chocolate to cool and set; break into irregular pieces. Makes about 2 1/4 pounds.
Final Comments
* NOTE: Omitting nuts could cause the brittle to become dry.
