    List of Ingredients


    • 1 cup of softened butter or margarine
    • 1 cup white sugar
    • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    • 1 tsp. salt
    • 2 cups flour
    • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate morsels
    • 1 cup chopped nuts*


    Instructions


    1. Beat butter, sugar, vanilla, and salt in a large bowl. Gradually beat in flour. Stir in 1 1/2 cups of morsels and nuts. Press into an ungreased 15x10" jelly roll pan.
    2. Bake at 375 for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and set. Cool in pan until slightly warm.
    3. Microwave remaning chocolate in a heavy duty plastic bag on HIGH (100%) power for 1 minute. Cut a small hole in the corner of the bag; squeeze to drizzle over cookie brittle. Allow chocolate to cool and set; break into irregular pieces. Makes about 2 1/4 pounds.

    * NOTE: Omitting nuts could cause the brittle to become dry.
