    Baked Country Ham

    List of Ingredients




    12-14 lb. Ham
    2 tsp. whole cloves
    8 cups apple juice or cider
    Glaze:
    1/2 cup brown sugar
    2 tsp. ground cloves
    Dry sherry or red wine vinegar

    Recipe



    Stud ham with whole cloves. Pour apple juice over the ham and bake at 325 for 4-4 1/2 hours. Mix the brown sugar and ground cloves and add just enough of the sherry or vinegar to make a paste. Spread over ham and bake uncovered 30 more minutes. Let stand 15-20 before slicing.
