    1 cup butter
    1 (3oz.) cream cheese, softened
    1 cup sugar
    1 egg yolk
    2 1/2 cups plain flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
    candied cherries or pecan halves

    Recipe





    Cream butter and cream cheese; add sugar. Beat until light and fluffy. Add egg yolk; add flour and vanilla. Chill 1 hour. Make into 1 inch balls. Place on greased cookie sheet. Gently press a candied cherry or pecan into each cookie. Bake at 325 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.
