This bread is perfect for the holiday and uses up that last cup of leftover eggnog. Mix up the dough in your bread machine and top with a sweet glaze after baking.
1/2 cup eggnog
1/4 cup water
1 large egg
2 tablespoons butter or margarine cut into small pieces
3 cups bread flour
2 tablespoons sugar
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 1/4 teaspoon active dry yeast or bread machine yeast
1/3 cup candied red and green fruits diced
Recipe
Combine all ingredients into a 10 cup capacity bread machine. Select the basic white bread cycle and start. Top cooled loaf with eggnog glaze.
Eggnog Glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar, sifted
1 to 2 tablespoons eggnog
Combine until the mixture is blended and drizzle over cooled loaf.
